Learners Permit

For Price and Details:

Learners permit classes are part of an important milestone in any teen's life. As teens move from non-driver to driver, they become more independent than ever before, and are trusted with one of the most valuable physical possessions that their families own. It is a huge responsibility to learn to drive, and learning safety and skill are vital elements. At DefensiveDriversEd.com (NDSS), we are pleased to offer a driver ed online program that allows teens the convenience of the Internet while still preparing them to receive their learners permit in a responsible and skillful way.

You've probably never taken a driver ed online program, whether you're the teen looking to get your learners permit or the parent trying to register their teen for a class. And we understand that you might not understand how it all works. Really, it's a simple process. You register for driver ed online through our site, and enroll in the course that is applicable to your region (usually divided up by state). You can process payment online via our secure server, and once you're enrolled, you can begin working immediately.

The learners permit course itself is divided into units of study that each cover a specific area of driving and driver safety. At the end of each unit is a quiz, and because this is a driver ed online course rather than in a classroom, you can get your results immediately. If you receive a passing grade on the quiz, you'll be permitted to advance to the next unit on the spot. These quiz grades are not provided to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), but are for your own benefit, to get you ready for the final exam while you're still in the sections that are being quizzed.

Once you finish all the coursework, you'll take a final exam and need to pass with a minimum score that is determined on a state-by-state basis. When you've passed, you're done! You'll get a certificate of completion in the mail from us, and can take it to the DMV and get your learners permit following their standard procedures.

Taking driver ed online is easier than working in a classroom for several reasons. The first is the commute time. Someone needs to take you to and from class, so your time and theirs is spent traveling to the classroom. That time does not count toward your total class time, so why not eliminate it entirely? With our courses, you can work from any computer with an Internet connection, so you can be at home, at the computer lab at school, or even at the public library. Wherever you are, if you can get online you can work on your course. You can also log on and off as often as you choose. Register today and get licensed the NDSS way!
